Page Rank

Page RankPage Rank is a word that is often talked about in the SEO community. Your Page Rank can determine where your website appears in Google search results. A websites Page Rank in Google reflects the importance of web pages pages by considering more than 500 million variables and 2 billion terms. Pages that Google considers important receive a higher Page Rank and are more likely to appear at the top of the search results.

While your Page Rank is important it is not worthwhile obsessing over. If you build your website with a SEO friendly structure and are updating the site a couple times a month with original content your website will begin to obtain authority and a higher Page Ranks naturally. Websites that have been live for many years gain a high Page Rank due to their age and links built up over time. You can speed the process up by getting backlinks from websites that have a very high Page Rank.

10 is the highest Page Rank that a website can have. Facebook and Google both have a Page Rank of 10. This is a very high Page Rank to achieve so most likely your website won’t be able to achieve this level of Page Rank. If you want to see what Page Rank your website is you can download the Google Toolbar. As I said earlier don’t obsess about Page Rank but develop your website at a constant pace with SEO attributes throughout your website and your Page Rank will increase naturally.
