Starting a new business is a stressful time.  Trying to finalise repeatable processes, trying to setup the websites, trying to ensure you have the right advice, trying to love on fresh air.  Why would anyone take on the effort when you could get a job ?

Well one of my main reasons is I have found someone I can work with, someone with a good work ethic, someone who knows what they are talking about, someone who knows the importance of continual learning in the environment we work in.

Another reason would be that from time to time I have had to subdue my reasoning and agree with management when I knew decisions were incorrect – working for yourself, you only have yourself to blame – oh and you get to take the credit when things go well – which is always nice.

Finally, my main reason for starting this business has been to do something I believe in, something I know will bring value to many organisations – particularly in Ireland where SEO is not a well developed product.  A few meta tags and Irish websites think they are optimised, so I know our company will bring real value to all companies who engage with us.  Small companies who have “business card” type websites will gain in visibility and in the development of “calls to action” while larger companies who may have a commercial site will find that not only can we make their site more visible and thereby increase sales, we can also help specify ways of using SEO to make their product more attractive to users.  We will be offering our services direct to customers but we also have an indirect model where we will create SEO and Social Media reports under a White Label so other companies can expand their product offering with own branded SEO reports for their clients.

The start of a new journey, I hope we manage to get our message across well as that is the only barrier I see to a successful business.
