Since Google rolled out the Panda changes there has being numerous updates effecting website rankings. In my opinion all the updates have had a positive effect on website quality. Spammy sites have been relegated and good quality sites have moved up the rankings in the SERP results. What’s not to like?
If you follow some simple tips like below you will not only avoid getting penalised by the Panda update but your website will flourish on Google.
Unique content
Using social media
Using anchor text
Use headings in articles
Good website navigation
No old school FLASH
Authority links to your website
The latest algorithm change negatively affects websites that are overloaded with advertising above the fold on their webpages. This is less than 1% globally, which still adds up to a sizable number of websites! Actually when you think about the aims of the Google Panda updates, to increase positive user experience, this algorithm change makes sense, right? There is nothing more annoying than entering a webpage looking for content and then having to look hard to find it through layers of advertising!
