Social Internet

Those of you who are familiar with “Add This”, the social sharing button, will be interested to know that Google have now a +1 button that allows you to recommend content across the web. Just by clicking the button you can recommend content to your contacts and across the web.

The +1 is a further development in “socializing” the web. The Internet is becoming more and more connected and smaller with users having the ability to share and recommend content from websites. I think this will be a good addition to the web as we recommend useful and interesting content.

How does it work?

Simply click the Plus 1 button and you will be directed to a page where you will be asked to confirm the +1.  Have a look at the screengrab below.

The video below is from Google and describes how the conept of the +1 Button works. The web, social media and content are all beming interlinked and this seem to be the way Google are going forward.
