Use multimedia like photographs, video and sound clips. A dynamic page will be appealing to search engines and viewers reading your copy.

Write useful content

Write content that people will find useful. Give tips and advice so that people will share your copy via social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Imagine if you were reading the copy. Do you find it useful?

Write original content

Copying content from someone else and republishing on your website can have severe consequences. This is one of the areas that you will see the Panda effect in action. Your content should be original and not copied from any other website. 

Use keywords

Keywords in your copy will indicate the important keywords to Google.

Use anchor text

Use anchor text to link to other pages in your website and also to external websites that are relevant to the page content. 

Relevant Meta Data

Your meta data should relate to your page content. For example if you have a page about “An SEO Expert”, the Meta Data should reflect this be using relevant Keywords (SEO Expert in the Page Title for example). If your Titles and Descriptions are different than your page content search engines will deem your page to be less relevant than others.

Use ALT text with images

This is still important as a search engine signal from Google. Use ALT text on your images that will be descriptive and informative.
